Centenarian Arts Project
Abira was selected as a teen artist from NSW to celebrate Centenarian’s in our community by painting a portrait for a community member who turned 100 years of age.
This celebration of Sydney’s oldest residents brings the young and the old together over a period of several weeks to become acquainted and allowing for the teen artist to tell their Centenarian’s story through their artwork. The portrait is then gifted to the Centenarian’s family.
This is an intergenerational Arts initiative by ‘Embraced inc.’ The program’s major sponsor is Estia Health and the NSW Government also supports this project.
